The best place in the country to get a burger and sweet and sour pork. They have the best sweet and sour sauce I have ever tasted. They have been around for the last 50 years and I have had other things on there menu and they are the best. I fully recommend that you eat there you won't be disappointed

Very popular place for long time residents of the Comox Valley. Both times I visited there were line up's to order and receive food. This is an old-fashioned order-at-a-window style take-out place with a basic menu and no seating. Service is brusk but fast. It primarily serves various types of Chinese food and burgers. On the recommendation of a friend I ordered chow mein and fried prawns. The chow mein was the best I have ever had. My other companion had a mushroom burger which had been their favourite for decades! These are not low calorie meals but they are delicious! Check ahead to make sure they are open.

Good food buy they only accept cash no plastic.

In a word, Yum!It is a strange place, different than most. You walk up, the guy looks at you without saying a word. You tell him what you want and then he walks away. You are pretty sure he took your order, but not entirely sure. A few minutes later (depending how busy they are) he will look at you. Walk up, pay for your food, and away you go. Seldom a word exchanged, but the food is fantastic :)

Literally cant explain the high rating, the burger was super gross and bland. Fries were limp and soggy. I never write reviews but this place is only for those with a laconic palate.

George's is a locals favorite. It didn't matter how big the crowd or how big the order, George never wrote it down and he never got it wrong. Food is soo tasty. While I'm very sad that old George recently passed away, his wife and son continue to run the business the same way it's always been run. I will always be a regular as long as they're open, and I'll always recommend it to visitors of the valley.

Best homemade burgers for under $7 at this little hole in the wall stop, poutine, too. All they need are a few picnic tables at the side of the building, although sitting in your vehicle and munching is okay..Just get lots of napkins, because those burgers are juicy...

This food bar was my brothers favorite food joint way back in the 70's when he used to work in the fields which is now Ducks Unlimited. This place has had excellent customer service for all these years and serves up amazing food too!

By far the best greasy spoon on the island...cranking out the hits since the 60's, this food bar is unbelievable. With classic burgers/hot dogs/chicken/chinese food...there really isnt much that is left out when it comes to deep fried decadence. I mean where else are you going to get a massive egg roll and a coke for 4 bucks? This is all very fascinating to you all, I'm sure. But the most impressive fact abthe world record holding memory of the cook. Who holds a record for 100+ orders without making a mistake. Go there, eat and indulge. It really is amazing!

Had Mushroom bacon Burger fried with gravy and hot dog total cost $14 all tasted good

This place is an icon in the valley. No seating, no waitress, no cocktails, no frills at all really just plain great Chinese food. I have been going here for over 20 years and still love it. Haven't tried the burgers but I understand they are awesome as well.

Heads up, George's is legendary. Not for their service, lack of emotion, or even acknowledgement of your existence. What you get is awesome food. Plain and simple. I have been ordering the combo burger for over 30 years and its incredible every single time. Its never changed and i wouldn't want it to. Its the standard by which i judge every other burger I've ever had and they all fall short.

When we first pulled up to George's, I felt like we were intruding on some super secret local spot. The service left something to be desired, and outside was rather derelict, but what a treat for my tastebuds! Cheap, fast, and surprising delicious. Going to have to make a regular stop here 🍔

Best burgers around! Fast, excellent service. They have their own way of dealing with orders, so if you aren’t used to it, it could come off strange, but have faith. Food is served up hot off the grill with every order. This family run joint has been around for decades, and they know what they’re doing. We have never had a bad experience, and come back multiple times every time we’re in town!

Best burgers Ive ever had. Imbued with the glory of a man's lifelong dedication to his craft. The one and only Georges, not just fast food, but a pilgrimage site.

Definitely not what I was expecting after hearing how amazing the burgers were here. The burger tasted off, and the flavor was not very good in my opinion, also the fries were not fully cooked and were also very tasteless. My daughter does want to try the Chinese food so, at some point we will try it again, maybe it was an off day but not expecting much, hopefully will be surprised.

Meh. Not sure the hype. I am all about supporting a small family run place but just seemed like wasn’t much love left in this place.Prices are good, food is descent. Root beer Milkshake was watered down, nothing special.

Great value. Lots of onion rings in an order. Burgers can be a little greasy, order the deluxe version to get the lettuce and tomato. I’ve been told the Chinese food is amazing. Look forward to trying that next.

Been going here for 35+ years and even though I don’t come to town often, we ALWAYS stop at George’s. Absolutely the best thing going in the Comox Valley hands down.

First time here . . . An acquired taste as a venue for sure. I was promised the burgers were amazing. I though they were simply solid but nothing spectacular. The side of chicken chow mein on the other hand was terrific. I could have eaten two more orders of it and it totally overshadowed the burger for me.

Great prices, great food, remember going here since I was 5 and my father the same since he was 5 they may have moved down the road but honestly better then ever! There deluxe burger Reminds me of the port alberni J & L drive-in another great local fast food joint worth checking out. George's is a great place to pick up some food and eat in the car or go out for a picnic for the quality and price and being local what more can you ask for!?

Legitimately the best burger and fries I've had in all of my travels around North America. Fresh ingredients cooked perfectly. The burger ratio was spot on. Incredibly fast too!
